Things have been quiet on the blog for a while as since returning from our 7 month trip around the world in March 2013, I settled into a full time accountancy job and Ben got back into Farming. We have also been busy renovating two houses in the last 2 years – I started a blog about the renovation projects here, although life has been very busy so I haven’t managed to write about our second renovation project yet.
In February 2015 we flew to NZ for Ben’s sister’s wedding and it was then that Ben finally managed to convince me to move to NZ (he has spent the last 4 years trying).
So here I am writing this blog post on a flight to Auckland!
It’s funny how much changes in 5 years. In December 2010 I would have laughed at you if you had told me that in 5 years I would be on a plane to New Zealand ready to take on a farm with 1000 sheep. All because I fell in a love with a handsome stranger.
Let’s just bear in mind that whilst I was brought up on a farm, it is fair to say that I know almost zero about farming or farm animals, so the next few years will be a steep learning curve. Although the change is certainly one I am looking forward to.
In terms of this blog, in the near future you will probably find more posts on New Zealand, as well as our recent trips to Japan and Bali.
